My brain short-circuits whenever asked “What kind of music do you listen to?” But it’s a question that must be asked. It. Must. Be. Asked.
I listen to everything, but mostly hip-hop. A screenshot of my music archive as of February 12, 2023. Frame that shit. Build a shrine to that shit. Worship that shit. Or not.
A big “fuck you” to names crossed off in red and all the other repeat offenders lurking on this list (like Mystikal). It’s always a work in progress.
Editor’s note about artists:
- Fat Joe: admitted that he lied in 95% of his songs. He gets a KATO FRANK rating of FAF: fake as fuck.
- Jay-Z: is on notice for his shameless participation in the 2026 Jeff Bezos Met Gala, after spending his early years heavily marketing himself (aka pretending) to look like a sort of underdog man of the streets in order to sell millions of albums and tickets. In recent years, he’s presented an image of helping underprivileged communities on issues of social justice and economic opportunity. Yet an endorsement of Bezos is an endorsement of Trump which is an endorsement of heinous exploitation and manipulation. He gets an FAF rating.
- Rick Ross: known widely for being FAF.
- The Game: found guilty of sexual assault in 2019, upheld twice in court, ordered to pay a $7.1 million settlement to his victim. Goddamn what the fuck is wrong with people.
